WHEN AN ELECTED OFFICIAL IS DOING SOMETHING RIGHT OR DOING SOMETHING THAT YOU MIGHT FEEL IS NOT RIGHT, THEN THAT IS WHEN YOU WOULD APPROACH THOSE INDIVIDUALS AND THOSE OFFICES BECAUSE THERE ARE AUTONOMOUS IN THAT WAY AND ULTIMATELY, ALTHOUGH IS IT TOO LATE TO SIGN UP NOW, BUT WHEN FOLKS DON'T LIKE WHAT SOMEONE IS DOING -- I DON'T WANT THIS TO BE TAKEN NEGATIVELY THAT IS WHEN FOLKS WILL RUN AGAINST THEM. THAT THE FINANCES THAT WOULD HAVE GONE TO SALARY IS USED FOR THE EQUIPMENT FOR THE OFFICERS BY STARTING THEM LATER IN THE PHYSICAL YEAR. I APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS EVERY WEEK. THEY'RE IN A DIFFERENT PLACE THAN THEY WERE FIVE YEARS AGO. AND HAYES COUNTY IS IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PLACE AND THAT TEN YEARS AGO AND POLICING PRESENCE THAT IS NEEDED IN CONJUNCTION TO THE POPULATION GROWTH THAT WE'VE SEEN AND THE AMOUNT AND TYPE OF INFRACTIONS THAT WE SAW. WE DON'T SEE THE TYPE OF INFRACTIONS THAT WE SAW TEN YEARS AGO. WE HAVE A LOT MORE VIOLENT CRIME. WE HAVE A LOT MORE FELONY CRIME THAT QUALIFIED AT A HIGHER LEVEL. I WOULD SAY THAT I KNOW THAT GIVEN YOUR BACKGROUND IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, YOU MAY SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY. I ENCOURAGE YOU, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE DONE, I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO FILE AND RUN AGAINST THEM. WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY EVERY FOUR YEARS, IF WE DON'T LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING IN ANY OFFICE HERE TO REPLACE THAT INDIVIDUAL AND THE PUBLIC MAKES THAT DECISION. AND I WOULD ENCOURAGE ONE THAT HAS THOSE ISSUES TO GO AHEAD AND ATTEMPT TO DO THAT. I'M WORKING CLOSELY WITH EVOKE. AND THEY'RE CLOSE TO THE GOVERNMENT CENTER AND THEY'RE CLOSE TO THE JAIL. ALL OF THOSE THINGS. IT IS VERY HELPFUL. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTED THEY HAVE GRACIOUSLY OFFERED TO PROVIDE A DISCOUNT FOR THE COUNTY FOR.

DAILY TREATMENT AND THEY ARE PROVIDING FIVE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THOSE THAT CANNOT PLAY. THIS IS BEFORE WE DIP INTO THE FUNDING.

SO THAT IS FIVE INDIVIDUALS THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO BE SCHOLARSHIPPED IN AT NO COST TO THE COUNTY. AND BEYOND THOSE FIVE, IF THERE ARE STILL ADDITIONAL PEOPLE THAT ARE NEEDING TREATMENT THAT CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY, THEN THAT IS WHEN WE'LL BE DIPPING INTO THE FUNDING TO COVER THE COPAY OR THE FULL COST OF TREATMENT. IF YOU HAVE A DUI AND YOU HAVE SOME CHALLENGES TO GET TO A BRICK AND MORTAR, YOU CAN DO IT VIRTUALLY. THE YES, I DID IN 2024 IS TO HAVE A BRICK AND MORTAR IOP THAT WE FEEL WILL BE A BIG PART OF THE GROWTH OF THIS PROGRAM HERE AND OUR PROGRAM. ARE THEY ABLE TO COMPLETE IT AND THEN HAVE A WAY TO LOOK BACK AT THEM IN THE FUTURE AND SEE, ARE THEY STILL BEING SUCCESSFUL? I THINK THAT WOULD BE A GREAT DEAL OF INTEREST.

THING THAT COULD LEAD US AND OTHERS WITH THE RIGHT DIRECTION ON HOW TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND TRY TO FIND OUT HOW THAT WOULD BE FAIRLY FUNDED. I DON'T THINK WE WANT A SYSTEM KNOWING HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE AS WE SPEAK DEALING WITH THIS. I DON'T WANT TO BE WHERE SOMEONE COMMIT A MISDEMEANOR TO GET THE TREATMENT FOR IT EITHER.
